Psychotherapy for complex and interpersonal trauma

I provide trauma-informed and trauma-focused therapy to help increase awareness and insight and reduce the impact of trauma. Through care and dedication to your well-being, my hope is that you will be able to manage distressing and aversive reactions, calm your nervous system, and rebuild sense of self, feeling overall more grounded, empowered, and aligned with your authentic self.

What are symptoms of complex and interpersonal trauma?

There are many forms of trauma, adverse experiences, and associated symptoms. Each person has their own experience and may relate to some of the following:

  • dysregulated emotions

  • dissociation and emotional numbing

  • negative concept and sense of self

  • guilt and shame

  • attachment and relationship challenges

  • depression and anxiety

  • chronic nervous system activation and hypervigilance

  • chronic pain

  • insomnia, nightmares

  • suicidal thoughts

  • self-destructive behaviors

I believe that each individual is an expert in their own traumas and life experiences and it is an honor to be able to work alongside you to engage in ongoing recovery. I provide a safe space for vulnerability, healing, and improving your relationship with yourself and others.

What is revictimization?

Revictimization can occur to those who have experienced trauma and abuse, and happens when someone who has been hurt in the past is subjected to and experiences similar harm again. Therapy aims to support ongoing recovery by fostering whole-person self-compassion and healing. It may help you to develop adaptive coping strategies, break negative and toxic cycles, and build awareness and insight into past experiences that can inform healthy responses and understanding in the future.
